GOLDNOVA EA is a trading robot (Expert Advisor) for MetaTrader, built and optimized specifically for the XAUUSD (Gold) pair — that is its default market, and it is not designed for other pairs out of the box. It places a straddle of pending orders — a BuyStop and a SellStop around price — and manages them with grid recovery and basket take-profit. It is a high-risk automated tool with no profit guarantee.

Getting Started
GOLDNOVA EA is provided for MetaTrader 5 (.ex5). Download the MT5 build from the official link.
No. GOLDNOVA EA only runs on the desktop MetaTrader 5 app (Windows PC, laptop, or VPS) — it cannot run on a phone, whether Android or iPhone/iOS. The mobile MetaTrader app can only monitor your account and trades; it cannot run an Expert Advisor. For trading that runs around the clock, use a VPS.
Two ways. Direct License: a one-time lifetime payment that works with any broker and includes free upgrades; you register your MT account IDs (up to 5 on the 5 Accounts tier, or an unlimited number on the Unlimited tier). Free Access: no license fee — register under the official IB link, complete KYC, and deposit. Either way, the license is locked to the specific MT account IDs you register. See the Pricing section for costs.
Yes — it runs on default presets, so there is no complex setup, and installation is the same as any MetaTrader EA. Just start small and only use money you can afford to lose. Support is on WhatsApp or Telegram if you need help.
An MT5 account with a broker, the desktop MetaTrader app (PC, laptop, or VPS), and a GoldNova license (Direct License or Free Access). With a license, sign in to the customer portal, register your MT account number(s), and download the EA and presets. A VPS is recommended for continuous running.
The customer portal, this FAQ, and help resources are in English, and support is on WhatsApp or Telegram. MetaTrader itself supports many display languages in its own settings.
Pricing & Licensing
Two options. The Direct License is a one-time lifetime payment (see Pricing) that works with any broker, has no volume conditions, and includes free upgrades. Free Access has no fee — register under the official IB link, complete KYC and a deposit. Both are locked to the specific MT account IDs you register in the portal: the Direct License lets you register up to your tier limit (5 accounts, or unlimited), while Free Access is tied to your account under the official IB. Both run the same EA on XAUUSD for MT5.
Attach the EA to an XAUUSD chart, open its Inputs, and enter your license key. The EA verifies online, so the terminal needs internet. The MT account must already be registered to your license first, or you will get a license error.
A Direct License (lifetime) never expires — no renewal fee, and free upgrades to all future versions. Free Access has no fee either, but it stays tied to the conditions of the IB program.
Each paid license has a tier that sets how many MT accounts you can register, for example a 5 Accounts or Unlimited tier. Every key is bound to your registered account number(s), so the EA only runs on those. "Unlimited" means no cap on how many accounts you can register, not that it runs on any account automatically.
Yes. Every tier, including Unlimited, must register at least one MT account in the portal before the EA runs. Unlimited only removes the limit on how many you can add; each still has to be registered, or you will see a license error.
The customer portal is for paid license holders to manage their key — sign in with your key and password to register or add MT account IDs. To run the EA on a new account, add it in the portal first. Free Access users have no portal (support sets up their single account). The portal is for key management, not downloading — the EA is on the open download links.
Free Access depends on your account staying under the official IB. If you move it away, the Free Access license cannot be maintained and the EA stops running. If you want no IB or volume conditions, the Direct License works on any broker. Contact support if your situation changes.
Yes. The Direct License works with any broker, has no volume conditions, and you can install it on any computer or VPS. Each MT account just needs to be registered to your license first, up to your tier's limit. The EA checks the license online, so the terminal needs internet.
Yes. A full source-code license is available for 19,900 USD. It is an offline version that needs no license key, is yours to edit, and works for the lifetime of your use. Contact support for details.
Payment is in USDT. Choose your tier in the Pricing section to see the exact amount along with the USDT wallet address and network to send to. After you pay, message HuzaifaKhan on WhatsApp or Telegram with the transaction screenshot and your account ID so your license can be activated.
Brokers & Accounts
Any MT5 broker with a suitable Gold (XAUUSD) symbol — good spread, leverage, execution, and account type. With a Direct License you can choose any broker. For Free Access, your account must be registered under the official IB link.
A cent account is recommended for smaller capital and live testing — you can start modestly and still run on real market conditions. A standard account needs far larger capital and more conservative settings. If you are new, start on cent, then move to standard later. Either way, match the broker, leverage, spread, symbol suffix, and set file to the recommended setup.
A cent account lets you start with a smaller balance and lower real exposure, so it is the usual choice for early testing; a standard account needs significantly more capital. Exact figures depend on account type and risk tolerance — see the setup guidance. Gold is volatile, so no balance guarantees against loss.
With a Direct License, an existing account works if its specs fit (suitable Gold symbol, spread, leverage, account type). For Free Access, you usually need to register a new account or change your IB under the official link. If unsure whether your account qualifies, check with support first.
Free Access needs your account under our official IB. If you do not have an account yet, register a new one using the official GoldNova broker link below, with referral/invitation code uN60VTqp (IB number 26467149). If you already have a Vantage account, you can request an IB transfer to the official IB by emailing Vantage — use the ready-made email template in the "For Existing Account Users" section on the landing page (or ask the assistant and it will show the exact email to send). An IB transfer can take some time to approve, and EA access activates only once your account appears under the official IB. Support can guide you, and you manage MT account registration in the customer portal.Register under the official GoldNova broker
Your account specs matter: symbol suffix (for example XAUUSD vs XAUUSDm), spread, leverage, server, and account type (cent vs standard) all affect performance. Higher leverage gives more margin headroom but does not reduce market risk. Swap-free (Islamic) is supported as long as the other specs match. Confirm your details with support so your set file aligns.
Yes. Brokers may name Gold XAUUSD or use a suffix such as XAUUSDm. The EA trades whichever Gold symbol your broker offers, as long as the chart and set file are set for that exact symbol. If trades are not opening, check the symbol suffix first — support can help you match it.
Yes, up to your tier. Every license is locked to the specific MT account IDs you register in the portal: the Direct License "5 Accounts" tier allows up to 5 IDs and the "Unlimited" tier allows an unlimited number of IDs, on any broker. Free Access is tied to the account ID(s) under the official IB. The EA only runs on accounts whose MT ID you have registered, so for several accounts the Direct License is the flexible option.
If a suitable account type is not available with a supported broker in your country, the Direct License is usually best — it works with any broker that offers a suitable Gold symbol and account type. Free Access depends on the official IB link, which is not possible in every region. The EA needs a live account (not demo) on MT5. Contact support to find the best setup for your location.
A demo is useful for practising installation and watching the strategy with no real money at risk. But the licensed flow binds to a live MT account, so a demo is not a long-term license target. For low-risk evaluation, a cent live account is the usual choice, and paid holders can also backtest in the MetaTrader Strategy Tester.
We recommend a Cent Standard account. GoldNova opens many trades a day, and on Raw or ECN accounts each trade carries a separate commission that adds up fast with this grid strategy. Cent Standard has no per-trade commission (the cost is in the spread), so it is more cost-effective. A cent account around 50,000 USC or more is a common starting point — just keep the Gold symbol, leverage, and spread within the recommended setup.
Capital & Risk
On a cent account, around 10,000 USC is enough just to test, but that is high risk — we recommend about 50,000 to 100,000 USC or more for better resilience. There is no single right amount; it depends on your equity, leverage, account type, spread, and preset. Use only risk capital you can afford to lose.
On a cent account you can test with as little as ~10,000 USC (high risk), but ~50,000 to 100,000 USC or more is the recommended range. Cent accounts let you start with much smaller real money at risk, so many beginners begin there. Standard accounts need significantly more capital and larger minimum lots. Size your capital around your drawdown tolerance, not a profit goal.
Base lot size on your capital, equity, leverage, account type, spread, and preset — never on a profit target. Since GoldNova layers grid orders, an oversized starting lot multiplies exposure fast and can cause a margin call. Start with the default lot in the preset and only increase it if your capital truly supports it.
No. No capital size is completely safe — GoldNova still faces floating loss, drawdown, margin call, and stop out. A larger balance gives more margin buffer but does not guarantee safety or profit. Only trade with risk capital you can afford to lose.
The current preset library is configured for 1:2000 leverage. Higher leverage frees up margin so the EA can keep operating during drawdown, but it does not reduce risk and can build exposure faster. Match leverage with your capital and a conservative preset.
The main risk is rising floating drawdown during the grid recovery phase. If the market keeps moving against the open basket, margin exposure climbs and the account can head toward a margin call or stop out. Adequate capital, a conservative preset, and pausing during high-impact news all help.
A margin call or stop out happens when floating drawdown grows until your free margin runs out and the broker closes positions. With GoldNova this risk rises during grid recovery if the market trends strongly against the basket without retracing. Keep enough capital for margin buffer, use a controlled preset, and lower risk around volatile news.
Survivability comes from how much floating drawdown your equity and margin can absorb before a stop out. A larger, well-margined balance gives the grid more room to work an adverse move back to take-profit. Even so, an extreme move can overwhelm any balance — treat your funds as risk capital and pair them with conservative settings.
High-impact news like NFP, CPI, and FOMC can cause sharp Gold moves that spike floating drawdown during the grid phase. Best practice is to reduce risk or turn the EA off before and during these events, then resume once the market settles. Pair it with a conservative preset and capital you can afford to lose.
Strategy & Performance
GoldNova trades XAUUSD with a straddle of pending orders — a BuyStop and a SellStop around price. When one side triggers, it manages that direction as a basket, using grid recovery to add positions if the market moves against it, and closes the whole basket at its take-profit. Run it on an XAUUSD (Gold) chart; M5 is the recommended default, but the timeframe does not change the result.
No. No EA can guarantee profit or a risk-free return. Because it uses grid recovery, it stays exposed to floating loss, drawdown, margin call, and stop out, especially in extreme moves. Only trade with risk capital you can afford to lose.
There is no fixed amount and no daily or monthly percentage we can promise — results vary with market conditions, your capital, the preset, and your risk settings. Anyone promising a guaranteed daily return is not being honest about trading. Test it yourself on a small account first and judge over time.
We strongly advise reducing risk or turning the EA off around major Gold and USD news. During high-impact news, spreads widen, slippage rises, and price moves fast, which can cause much larger drawdowns. A common approach is to pause 30 to 60 minutes before the release and resume after the market settles — check the economic calendar in MetaTrader for upcoming events.
Backtesting in the MetaTrader Strategy Tester is enabled for paid license holders, so you can run your own historical tests. Keep in mind backtests and past results do not guarantee future performance — real spreads, slippage, and news differ from historical data. Treat any past figures as illustrative only.
That is how grid recovery works. When price moves against the first entry, the EA holds and may add positions to lower the basket's average, aiming to close the whole basket at take-profit rather than locking in a loss. This can recover drawdown, but it is also the main risk: a strong one-way move can grow the floating loss toward a margin call, so keep enough free margin.
Withdrawals are handled through your broker, not the EA — the EA only trades. After withdrawing, keep enough free margin and avoid large withdrawals that could leave an open basket under-margined. The EA is meant to run continuously (24/5) on a stable VPS, except when you pause it around high-impact news.
GoldNova uses grid recovery: when the market moves against the basket, it can add positions to improve the average and close everything at take-profit. Depending on the preset, those grid orders may grow in size — similar to a martingale recovery — which is the main risk, since exposure can build quickly in a strong trend. That is why adequate capital, a conservative preset, and pausing around news matter; never run a starting lot your balance cannot support.
Setup & Installation
Download the MetaTrader 5 build (.ex5) from the official download link. The download is open, so no login is needed. Paid holders also get a customer portal to manage their key, but it is not needed just to download. Always use the official source to avoid fake copies.
In MetaTrader 5, go to File > Open Data Folder, then open MQL5 > Experts. Copy the GoldNova .ex5 file there, then restart MetaTrader or right-click Expert Advisors in the Navigator and choose Refresh. GoldNova will appear under Expert Advisors, ready to attach. This is done on the desktop terminal only.
Open an XAUUSD (Gold) chart and drag GoldNova onto it. The timeframe does not change the result — the EA gives the same result on any timeframe — so M5 is just the recommended default; you can use any timeframe. In the settings dialog, open the Inputs tab, paste your license key into the license field, and confirm. Any XAUUSD variant (for example with a suffix) works the same way, and you only need one chart running the EA.
In the EA settings dialog, tick "Allow Algo Trading" before clicking OK, then make sure the AutoTrading (Algo Trading) button on the toolbar is ON. A smiling face icon in the top-right of the chart means the EA is running. If it is not smiling, AutoTrading is off and no trades will open.
GoldNova verifies your license online, so the terminal must reach the license server. Go to Tools > Options > Expert Advisors, tick "Allow WebRequest for listed URL", add the URL shown by the EA, and click OK. Without this, the EA cannot validate the license. Make sure your PC or VPS has a stable connection.
Use the default settings first — they are already tuned for XAUUSD, so you do not need to change anything to start. Adjustable inputs include lot size, trailing, spread guard, session guard, daily loss limit, and trend multiplier, but most users leave them at default. Only adjust them once you understand the added risk. To start over, just reattach the EA with default inputs.
Download the set file from the GoldNova set-files page (the "Browse preset files" button in Downloads) — open the page and enter your license key to unlock, then download the preset for your pair. In the EA's settings open the Inputs tab and click "Load" to select the .set file; the inputs update to the preset's values, then click OK to apply. Presets are optional — you do not need one for the default Gold setup. Only load a preset made for the same symbol.
The default settings are the standard, recommended Gold configuration that most live accounts run. The set-files page presets are optional alternatives for specific setups (often more conservative), unlocked with your license key and loaded via the Inputs "Load" button. The EA only runs while MetaTrader is open with the chart attached and AutoTrading on, so a VPS is strongly recommended for continuous operation. If you hit an error, support can help you read the Experts and Journal tabs.
The session guard limits the hours the EA can open new baskets, helping you avoid thin or unwanted periods. Outside the window it stops opening new trades but keeps managing any open basket toward take-profit. These hours follow your broker's server time, which is often offset from your local time — check your server-time offset before changing them.
The spread guard blocks new entries while the spread is wider than your allowed value. Gold spreads widen around news, daily rollover, and session opens, and entering then would mean a poor price, so the EA waits for the spread to normalize. If the EA pauses at certain times, an elevated spread is a common, intended reason — a broker with consistently tight Gold spreads reduces it.
Ready-made preset .set files are on the GoldNova set-files page, linked from the Downloads section. The page is license-gated, so unlock it with your license key, then download the MT5 / 1:2000 preset for your pair. To apply one, open the EA's Inputs tab and click "Load" to select the .set file. Presets are optional — the default settings already work for Gold.
VPS & Running 24/5
A VPS is strongly recommended for live trading. GoldNova's grid and basket strategy must be managed continuously, so the terminal needs to stay online 24/5. A VPS keeps it running with a stable connection even when your own computer is off — far safer than a home PC.
Technically yes — the EA runs in the desktop MT5 terminal on any Windows PC or laptop. But for a grid/basket strategy it is risky: if the machine sleeps, switches off, or loses internet, the EA stops managing open trades. If you do use a PC, it must be reliable and left running 24/5 — which is why a VPS is recommended.
The EA stops the moment the terminal goes offline, so it cannot open, adjust, or close positions while your machine is off, asleep, or disconnected. For a grid/basket strategy that needs continuous management, that gap is risky if the market moves against an open basket. This is the main reason a 24/5 VPS is recommended.
Lower latency to your broker's server means faster, steadier execution, which matters for fast Gold trades. A good tip: before buying, ask the VPS provider's support which location gives the lowest ping to your broker server (if they need platform access, use a read-only investor password only — never your master password). Do not pick a location by the broker's public country, since the real trading server can be elsewhere, such as London. Aim for very low latency (ideally under 5ms), enough RAM/CPU, and strong uptime rather than the cheapest plan.
Yes. One VPS can run multiple MetaTrader terminals and accounts at once, as long as it has enough RAM and CPU. If you will run several terminals or many charts, pick a larger plan and monitor the VPS load so execution stays stable.
Gold trades 24/5, so the market closes on weekends and the EA simply waits. Any open basket stays open through the weekend, exposed to the gap when the market reopens — so manage your risk and free margin before the weekend. Keep your VPS and terminal running so the EA resumes the moment trading reopens.
A reliable forex VPS we personally use is Hyonix VPS — built for MetaTrader, online 24/5, with low-latency locations near most brokers. You can use any provider, but pick a location near your broker, enough RAM and CPU, and strong uptime. This is a recommendation, not an affiliate link.Visit Hyonix VPS
Troubleshooting & Support
Check in order: the EA is on an XAUUSD M5 chart with AutoTrading ON (smiley icon active); the license is valid (no chart error); and the EA's URL is allowed in Tools > Options > Expert Advisors (WebRequest). No trades can also be normal — the market may be closed, the spread above the spread-guard limit, the session guard blocking the time, or the EA waiting for a valid setup. If it still does nothing, open the Experts and Journal tabs to look for an error.
This means the key in the EA inputs is wrong or unrecognized. Remove the EA, reopen its inputs, and re-enter the key exactly as issued (no extra spaces or missing characters), then re-attach it. If it is still rejected, contact support on WhatsApp or Telegram to confirm the key is active.
"License EXPIRED" means the validity period has passed; "License REVOKED" means it was revoked by the provider — either way the EA will not trade. A lifetime Direct License does not expire, so EXPIRED usually points to a time-limited or Free Access arrangement, while REVOKED is set manually on the server. Re-entering the key will not restore it — contact support on WhatsApp or Telegram to renew or restore.
This means the MT account running the EA is not registered for your license. Log in to the customer portal, register this exact MT account number under your license, then restart the EA. Make sure it is the same account number shown in your platform.
This means no MT account is registered for your license yet, so the EA cannot start. Open the customer portal, register at least one MT account, then restart the EA. This is required for every tier, including Unlimited.
This is a network or WebRequest problem — the EA could not reach the license server. Check the PC or VPS has working internet, then go to Tools > Options > Expert Advisors, tick "Allow WebRequest for listed URL", add the exact URL shown by the EA, and restart it. On a firewall or restricted network, make sure the platform's outgoing connections are not blocked.
The EA verifies its license online, so its URL must be allowed. In MetaTrader, go to Tools > Options > Expert Advisors, tick "Allow WebRequest for listed URL", add the exact URL shown by the EA, and click OK, then restart the EA. Skip this and the EA cannot reach the license server.
After downloading a new version, replace the old EA file, then re-attach it to an XAUUSD M5 chart with the same license key and AutoTrading ON. Confirm the EA's URL is still allowed for WebRequest, since a new version may use a different one. If you hit a problem, screenshot any errors in the Experts and Journal tabs along with your inputs, and send them to support on WhatsApp or Telegram.
